After a couple of dry days, it looks like you will need to grab that umbrella as you head out the door for the rest of the week. Monday will begin with patchy fog through much of the region. The fog should burn off quickly, and be replaced by partly to mostly sunny skies and muggy conditions. Highs will be in the mid 80s along the coast, and near 90 inland. There will be a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm late in the day. Shower and thunderstorm chances increase on Tuesday as a front approaches from the northwest. Highs will continue to be above normal, in the upper 80s and lower 90s. The chances of rain continue for much of the week, with hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms through next weekend. In the tropics, there is an area of disturbed weather in south of Cuba. Chances of development of this system are small, with the National Hurricane Center putting the odds at less than 30%. The Atlantic hurricane season began on June 1. |
