Well, it's official: the storm over yesterday that so many of you photographed as a funnel cloud did make it down to the ground as a tornado in parts of Chesapeake. It was a weak F0 twister with a 3 mile long path about 50 yards wide. Luckily it didn't cause a ton of damage. In fact the microburst earlier in the day over Norfolk caused more damage. Meanwhile we had another tornado watch tonight. Here's what you can expect coming up. Scattered storms overnight with some very heavy downpours. Then again tomorrow we will see isolated to scattered showers or storms. Some could again be locally heavy although they should be fairly isolated. Unfortunatly the same thing is expected again on Thursday. Luckily things should begin to dryout a bit by Friday. |
