Low temperatures dipped into the 20s for most of the viewing area this morning. There was frost on the cars, pumpkins, and just about anything else left outside overnight. ...After mentioning on the Sunday 6 PM newscast that we broke two records this weekend, Ryan in Virginia Beach says he and his wife "...were wondering who actually records and keeps the weather records. If the older records are kept before computer data bases, where are the written records kept?" This is the time of the year we buckle in for the ride. ...It's a great event...and it's going feel a lot like Christmas as Santa makes his way down Waterside tonight. ...Snow totals in Perquimans up to 2" on the grass and bushes, 1-2" fell farther east. We could still see a snow burst or two this afternoon. We already had one over downtown Norfolk during 13NEWS at Noon. ...Today's highs in the lower-mid 50s will feel almost summer-like following the past couple of days. Yesterday, we managed only 39°F for the high at Norfolk International. That's 4°F below the normal low temperature for this time of year! ...Enjoying the cold?
