Of course, nothing has been certain with Fay! As we have seen, Fay has been a fickle storm - dumping a lot of rain on the Sunshine State. I remember saying last weekend, that Fay *could* bring us rain by the end of the week. And here I am, a week later, saying it again. This is based mainly on guidance from the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center, which calls for rain chances towards the middle and the end of next week. Most of the computer models show Fay's remnants being pulled into our area by the middle and the end of the week. So I have to include the chance of rain in the forecast. But it's by no means certain. And the computer models are by no means gospel, they are just guidance. So there is a little more uncertainty than normal in the 5 to 7 day forecast. Outside of Fay, the chances of rain are pretty small. We could see another cold front next weekend, but it looks to be a dry front. So don't get your hopes up too much. One positive note: we haven't had to deal with the oppressive heat - the "dog days of summer." Since I will be vacationing in Las Vegas in a few weeks, I decided to look at the 7-Day Forecast from the ABC station in Las Vegas. I don't care what they say about it being a dry heat - 107° is still hot!
