Officials dealing with the smoldering wild fires near the Dismal Swamp say they could use some additional rain in the next few days to keep the flames from rebuilding and generating more heavy smoke.

Right now, it doesn't look like we'll see much rain until possibly this weekend. Even then, the chances for rain aren't great.

For now, try to get out and enjoy the sunshine and temperatures that are slightly below normal.
