| Saturday Evening Smoke Update - And a New Weather Term - SUPERFOG! »
The winds will continue to blow from the south and the southwest tonight and tomorrow. The result will be more smoke for the regions that dealt with it today. Chesapeake and Virginia Beach had visibilities reduced by the wildfire smoke and are facing more of the same tomorrow. The smoke could be seen and smelled farther north. Scattered showers and storms are in the forecast Saturday, Sunday. and Monday. More wet weather is possible Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We need the rain. If we can get a few heavy downpours over the fires, maybe we will finally see a significant smoke reduction. |
