March 2008 ArchivesA couple of days ago I wrote about some drivers and their sometimes perplexing habits on the road. I guess I'll keep a similar theme for this entry because driving has something I have been thinking about a lot lately. Why, you ask?. Well, the reason is simple. It's the cost of gas. ...Some people just astound me with their lack of character. Maybe it's just me but I hope not. I'll give you a couple recent examples of actions by drivers that totally astounded me. Like everyone who has driven a car for more than 10 minutes in their life, I have been "flipped off". Once in a while I can even understand why. I'll give you an example of a time when I could at least understand how someone could exercise that particular r... Over the past few weeks, it has not been unusual to check my email and see several notices that this person or that person is out sick. In fact, most days there are at least two people out, and some days as many as five. I know I called in sick one day last week - my first sick day in about ten years at WVEC. I've been fortunate, I will get a cough or sore throat here or there, but rarely does it knock me out. But whatever virus is ... |
