Bonnie reports that some rain seems to be mixing back in for Norfolk at 7 pm and wonders if that means a change in the forecast. The answer is no. When temperatures are borderline like they still are the lighter precipitation takes longer to fall and therefore has more of a chance to melt. As soon as the intesity picks up even slightly it will be snow again. Also, as temperatures drop tonight it won't matter what intensity occurs because it will be plenty cold enough to be all snow. I'm still thinking some minor accumulations near the coast and for metro Southside with a couple of inches inland and a few spots well inland or north getting a bit more than that. |
