We have gotten a few comments from people today wondering where the snow is. I guess you all didn't pay close enough attention, and that we need to give a quiz after each presentation (just kidding of course). It does show you though that not everyone interprets what you say the same. The forecast yesterday was for rain developing today then changing to a mix and becoming wintery by evening. Anyway, here it is a couple of hours before evening and almost everyone has seen the changover begin. In fact, in most places it is now all snow, or soon will be. The bottom line is that we will continue to see temperatures fall this evening and the snow will stick. Accumulations will range from several inches for inland areas to a dusting to 2 inches across Northeast North Carolina and Southside Virginia. Another problem will be the freezing condions that develop tonight. Please exercise caution toonight and tomorrow when driving as there may be more ice than snow on some of the roads ! 6 CommentsLeave a comment |
Awww Jeff..we thought you were a magician , seriously though folks listen when he talks. "Wishing" for bad weather, like "wishing" for a toothache- it all ends up being a pain that must be dealt with....Thanks Jeff, we do appreciate your diligence in keeping us posted...be safe everyone...
Hey Jeff- We're in Gloucester Point and its been snowing since 3:00pm.. we have an inch... and its still going. Thanks for keeping us informed! :)
It's been coming down for a few hours here too, in Suffolk near Wilroy Road and Nansemond Parkway, I would say it's a dusting up to a 1/2 inch so far and still coming down.....
The kids are outside playing in the snow now.
It's been a mix here in Virginia Beach near Seaboard Rd and PA RD. It 35.4 outside right now...
Been snowing here since about 330pm or snow in lower James City County - near Busch Gardens. Mostly flurries right now - but that radar has me all excited that we'll get lots more chances for snow the rest of tonight and possibly overnight! :)
Here in Norfolk (at almost 7:00) it appears that the snow is changing back to rain, and what was sticking is not anymore! :( Change in forecast?
