A storm that hasn't even formed yet will affect Hampton Roads this weekend. As low pressure forms in the Gulf of Mexico it will draw moisture up the coastline. With cold air moving in behind a cold front there will be a clash of airmasses and there should be winter weather across the area. Despite temperatures in the 50s today it looks like most of the area should see a mix of snow and rain tomorrow turning over to all snow before ending late Saturday, except possibly near the coast where some Bay effect snow showers are still possible. The exact amounts will depend on the track and intensity of the storm and we should know more tonight at 11. I'll update you then but right now it looks like 1 to 3 inches near the coast and 3-6 potentially for inland areas. 3 CommentsLeave a comment |
So Courtland in Southampton County could see possibly 3-6 inches???
OK, Where is the snow?
I am still waiting.
3PM and 40 degrees in Hertford, NC
I keep singing "Let it snow" and it is not working.
It has been snowing pretty good out here in Suffolk, for a while now, off of route 58 near wilroy road and Nansemond parkway, non-stop for at least an hour or longer. So far it is not sticking at all, it melts when it hits the ground.
