December 2007 ArchivesI know the big bowl games (including Va Tech) aren't until next week, but Saturday night is the main event for me--though it may cause some domestic distress... ...Saw them with my own eyes.... ...After reading Kristina Rohall's blog, I have a confession to make - I too like fruitcake! ...I'll be taking some time off from my forecast responsibilities to enjoy Christmas with my wife and sons. Be safe on the roads if you're traveling, try not to eat too much at the table, and soak up as much time as you can with the people who mean the most to you. A lot of people ask me questions about snowfall in Norfolk. Here are a few statistics gathered by the fine folks at the National Weather Service Office in Wakefield. The last few days have been a perfect example. ...The Tiger's hopes for a championship were dashed last Saturday when they lost to the Oklahoma Sooners. With all the hoopla about college football and rivalries, its easy to get lost in the emotional highs and lows. But in the grand scheme of things, its really just entertainment. ...By now you have seen the tornado episode of "Desperate Housewives" and for the first time in a while, I didn't cringe TOO much! ...I know, the calendar says winter is still a few weeks away, but it starts today for me. ... |
