November 2007 ArchivesOkay, I have to admit it... as a University of Missouri Alum who attended from the late 80s to early 1990s, I don't know too much about having a great football program. But this weekend, we get a shot... ...Especially laptops ! A few years ago I bought a new laptop to replace an old one. As a reward for my daughter getting straight A's on her report card I gave it to her instead of pawning it on EBAY for a few bucks. Yesterday it was in a dozen pieces. Here's why. ...This has become a Wednesday tradition in the Weather Lab, the brainchild of meteorologist Evan Stewart... ...Everybody has them. You know what I'm talking about, things that might seem trivial to others, but that really annoy you. I don't have many of them, but lately I have noticed that one in particular is getting worse. I'm talking about grammar. ...I'll admit it, I hate cleaning house. But it's something I have to do. I'm not exactly sure where all the dirt and dust comes from. I mean, I take my shoes off at the back door, don't have pets - but somehow all this dirt gets in the house from somewhere. And the dust! I just don't understand it. ...While many of us are trying to figure out how to keep the holiday pounds from piling on too quickly, we will be watching for showers and storms from the 13News Weather Lab. ...I am fortunate to have my entire family here in town. Temps today will be slightly below normal but changes are coming. ...Last month I took a little time off and had a week's vacation in Las Vegas. It's my fifth trip, and each time, I have new experiences. First off, I am not much of a gambler. I'll put a few bucks in a slot machine, pull the lever, and see what happens. Usually, not much of anything happens. Of course, in Vegas, this is not gambling, it's gaming. ...I have heard from a lot of folks over the past couple of days. Some like it warmer, others a lot colder. I am interested to know what you like. ...Everyone has heard of "normals" when it comes to weather. We'll say the "normal" high for today is such and such. Well, let's discuss normals and rainfall. ...I've written before about my cycling, and I often write about weather related matters.
