As most of you are already painfully aware, Hampton Roads is in the midst of a serious drought. Not only did we have a dry summer, but so far this fall we haven't seen any tropical systems either like we often do in the fall. But, the forecast is about to turn wetter and here is why.

There are so many things I love about my job that I can't even begin to list them all. You might think that being well known is at the top of the list, but that isn't true. Sure, there are advantages to being on TV, but there are also drawbacks. Let me give you one example that happened last night.

Fall is my favorite time of year in Hampton Roads. I don't like summer heat and humidity, and while winter isn't as bad, it isn't always conducive to outdoor activities. That leaves spring and fall as my 2 favorite seasons.
