Giving Thanks

While on the subject of giving thanks, as last Thursday's holiday prompts one to do, it seems appropriate to pause for a moment to remember our military friends who have given and continue to give so much.

I totally cut somebody off in traffic the other day. I didn't mean to, but somehow as these things do, it just happened. The other guy was compeltely nice about it. I waved to him via my rear view mirror, and our lives went on. It was forgotten.

But there are those other moments in life when rudeness creeps in, and you just can't shake it. I've had a couple of them recently.

So there I was the weekend before last in Northern Virginia for my high school 30th reunion. Annandale High School, Class of '77, to be exact. It was a great time, to be sure. The best part about getting older is, of course, that you get to see how everything turned out. And that's especially true when it comes to high school. You get to see how everybody turned out.
