There are few things that I dislike more than snow. Oh, I'll gladly visit the snow for a few days to play around and snowboard, as far as living in it...forget it. And while in theory the idea of a white Christmas is appealing, I'll pass on the reality.
But, come the month of December there is only one thing that makes it feel like the holidays and that's the classic movie "White Christmas". The costumes, the songs and the Vermont ski lodge make my holiday season.
I watched it tonight (Friday) from the comfort of my parents home in California. Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney and company put me right in the holiday spirit. Oddly enough, my family had our early Christmas tonight, among the gifts I received were gloves, ear muffs and layers of warm clothing to help me survive the cold when I'm out reporting for 13News.
So, while I may not be dreaming of a White Christmas...I'm certainly prepared for one. (The question is...will Bing Crosby be there singing a jaunty tune about it?)
