this morning little amaya tyler and her mother started their 18 hour journey to china.
the Virginia Beach girl has been choosen as one of five children to participate in an expremential clinical study.
Amaya was born with a condition called optic nerve hypoplasia.
Amaya's optic nerves never developed in the womb. Doctors diagnosed her condition incurable.
but after years of prayers and tears her mother says she found an article that gave her hope.

But thanks to the generousity of their church Calvary Seventh day adventist and the community the couple was able to cover the entire 30 thousand dollar bill.

there are no guarantee the procedure will be a success but the tyler's are optimistic their four year old daughter will one day see the world.
