My sister gave birth to a beautiful 6 lb 10 oz baby boy Saturday afternoon. Luckily, I happened to be at home visiting my parents in West Chester, PA (A suburb of Philadelphia), so I made the 12-hour drive out to Chicago (where my sister lives with my brother-in-law) with my parents Saturday.

As soon as I saw little Benjamin Thomas Seward on Sunday morning, I was in love. He's adorable! His little hands, nose, and lips... such a sweetheart! We took about a gazillion photos of the little guy and everyone holding him (he's the first grandchild for my parents, so he'll undoubtedly be spoiled rotten).

Unfortunately, I had less than 24 hours to spend with my new nephew because I had to fly back to Norfolk Sunday night so I could work on Monday. But every moment I had was worth it (and the insanely long drive listening to oldies in the car).

Now I finally know why all of my friends have been gushing about their nieces and nephews...
and now it's MY turn to pester them with photos and stories.
