A Bad Grade for the Chesapeake Bay

8:07 AM Tue, Dec 04, 2007 |

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation gave the bay a "D" grade for the 9th consecutive year. The blue crab population is expected to fall to its lowest level since the 1940's.

The water quality continues to be a big problem. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation's report shows the levels of pollutants and nutrients are actually up a bit from last years levels.

We take a more in depth look at the challenges ahead for the Chesapeake Bay in an upcoming "It's Our Watch." If you would like to learn more about the CBF's annual report, watch Kristina Rohall's report. You'll find it online on our website under "News" and it will be archived in the "video vault".
