The kitchen is equipped with all Energy Star appliances, granite countertops and touch sensor faucets. Both upstairs and downstairs master suites occupy this home, which utilizes an energy-efficient geo-thermal HVAC system, tankless hot water heater and fluorescent lighting throughout. Other green building features include low-E, double paned windows, engineered wood flooring products, recycled carpeting, a conditioned crawlspace and two green roofs where plants and other vegetation are grown. Outdoor living area includes a large pool, trellis and an outdoor kitchen.
Actor Ed Begley Jr. will be in town this week to tour the home and speak about the importance of being envrionmentally friendly and responsible.
