There have been several stories in the news this week that as a new parent I've found very disturbing. The stories in question no surprise have had to deal with children being hurt. The first on Tuesday when a toddler was thrown from her mother's SUV during a car accident because police say the child safety seat was not properly attached. I can attest installing those seats is not an easy task. Luckily Firefighters in Hampton Roads are trained to help you. Or look for a child safety seat check up. They are held this time of year at various locations.
There were also two other disturbing stories that dealt with the same subject... nannies caught on tape treating innocent babies like they are a sack of potatoes. I have to admit I had a very difficult time even looking at the video without wanting to cry. I can't imagine anyone treating my child like that. Both the nannies in question are now in trouble with the law.
I guess it's just a remind about how careful we all need to be to make sure our children are safe. I can't think of anything more important.
