Go Packers

9:42 AM Sat, Jan 12, 2008 |

No surprise, I'm rooting for the Packers today when they face the Seahawks. Kick off: 4:30pm Lambeau field.

I believe Green Bay is the most spirited NFL city in the country.
It is also probably the only city where a football stadium sits in the middle of a residential neighborhood. You won't see commercial buildings, or the mall next to the Packer stadium... you see middle class homes. When I used to go to the games, my friend Chris and I parked on FRONT LAWNS...and then crossed the street to our seats. One might think, "the city should capitalize on the fact that thousands of tourists flock to the city for home games, so they should build hotels and more restaurants along the strip." But I thought "that would take away the charm."

One of the streets next to the stadium is named after Mike Holmegren, called Holmegren Way.
So for me, it was always exciting to see the Packers play the Seahawks...
Needless to say, today you can expect to see me donned in green and gold, being a cheeshead.
I say 24-21...Packers.
remember, it's a home game.
