The Grinch Who Stole My Christmas Cards

9:51 PM Sun, Dec 09, 2007 |

It's an annual tradition. Each year, I make a list of family, friends, co-workers, former co-workers and contacts, then send them all Christmas cards. But this year, I think the Grinch is getting the best of me...

Yep, for the first time in eleven years, I'm not sending Christmas cards and to tell ya the truth, I can't quite pinpoint why! The price of postage??? The time commitment??? My crazy schedule??? Or maybe, just maybe, I've got the "holiday blues"... Who knows! It's still not too late to get into the spirit, but unless it hits me soon, there will be no cards from Coria this year.

Funny thing is, I've already recieved quite a few and I'm feeling pretty darn guilty about not sending greetings in return. I guess the thought of writing personal messages in more than one hundred cards just doesn't sound appealing to me -- oh my gosh, I am the Grinch! I'm such a huge birthday card and holiday card person that I can't believe I'm not already halfway through my list! I thought writing this blog about my "bla" for the season might be theraputic -- BA HUMBUG! The Grinch has won this battle. No card this year -- boo!

You should send card-sized envelopes with a note inside telling your family that you were just making sure the postal system still worked.

It's not too late to do something digital this year. You can create a nice document complete with photos, and email it to your friends.
