December 2007 ArchivesWhat do those three things have in common? They're all on my itsy-bitsy Christmas tree. ...I definitely love this time of year. I know everyone says that but I really do. There's a different kind of feeling in the air and everyone (unless of course they are stressed out from shopping) is usually in a good mood. But I have to say one of my favorite things about this time of year is getting the mail. ...If by some miracle YOU are this person and YOU happen to be reading this...Thank you, thank you, thank you.... ...I know it's my imagination... or at least I hope it is.. but it seems like everytime I'm running late for anything, I get all the red lights! ... It takes a special person to put his or her life on the line everyday to serve as a police officer. Many of you may know that this past year Regina decided to confront one of her fears and learn to swim. She's blogged about her adventure on our web site, if you want to check it out. ...The month before my son was born I was put on bed rest. Needless to say I am not a good "bed rest person." To be honest I don't think I've ever met someone who is good at it. But that said while I was on bed rest I still had a lot of things I planned to get for my son's nursery that I now could not go out shopping to get. So I did the next best thing... I went shopping on-line. ...I usually don't gloat. I have to admit I tend to approach the holidays each year with a bit of dread. I know I shouldn't. But it seems there's always too much to do; parties, performances and parades, when I just want to sit back a bit and enjoy the season. ...It's an annual tradition. Each year, I make a list of family, friends, co-workers, former co-workers and contacts, then send them all Christmas cards. But this year, I think the Grinch is getting the best of me... ...Is it possible journalists are running out of questions for the crowded field of presidential candidates? The other day, the Associated Press, in an attempt to break some new ground, asked the candidates to talk about their worst job ever. ...I in no way proclaim to be a college football fan, but I am from West Virginia and I have to say -- Go Mountaineers!!!!! ... |
