Today was one of those rare cloudy and rainy days in Hampton Roads. You know the kind of day where you're running late for everything because you are driving a little slower just to be safe. Well it occured to me while heading into Norfolk on 264 that not everyone is concerned about safety on a rainy day.
And obviously not everyone knows that it's a law in both Virginia and North Carolina that if your windshield wipers are on then your headlights also need to be on. It just makes sense. Trust me you'll understand it if you're stuck next to a gray car on a day like today. So if you know someone who accidently forgets to turn thier lights on when they flip on thier wipers... maybe you could remind them that it's not just a safe thing to do.. it's also the law.
