I do things the old fashioned way. Sure, I use email, send text messages and do lots of google searches on the web but, I still write checks and make lists (on paper). One of the big things I do each year (usually sometime in November or December) is switch everything over from my old wall calendar to my new one. This involves a red ink pen for birthdays, a green one for monthly bill reminders (ie: mortgage, car insurance & car payment), and a blue one for stuff like monthly hair appointments, bi-annual dentist appointments and annual eye exams. If I didn't mark this stuff on my wall calendar -- I WOULD FORGET IT!

The most important thing on my calendar is everyone's birthday! I'm a huge birthday card person. I send cards to people the old fashioned way -- in the mail! Sure I might send a text message, email or myspace message, too... but I think it's really important to make the effort for a friend, family-member or loved-ones birthday by actually sending them a card!

So this week, on my days off. I will buy a new calendar and do what I've been doing literallly since middle school and transfer all of this data to 2008. There will be no birthdays that are forgetten and there will be no PDA. Do people still use those things or is it all about the Blackberry these days?? I have no idea:)
