http://www.whas11.com/bios/rmurphy.js: September 2008 ArchivesFriends are great. They lift you up and make you feel better about yourself. Things are never as challenging as long as you have your friends around. That is the way I felt this morning at Mohr Results Boot Camp. Today was Bring-A-Friend day. We brought a couple of pals with us. They fought it. One was even using some words this morning that I can't type in this blo... This weekend was exhausting. I went out of town and slept very little and played very hard. I passed out around 9:45 last night. When I woke up I felt ready for the week when the alarm went off at 4:55 this morning. Week three of Mohr Results Adventure Boot Camp for Women kicked off with a plethora of exercises that included every body part. Picture a parking lot full of orange cones. Now imagine doing a different exercise at eve... Another week is in the books at boot camp. I am sore and sleep but happy for accomplishing another week of intense workouts. Like Brooke said, it is a commitment to take part in boot camp. It's at 5:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. You can stay up late but you do have to pay for it later. I am heading out of town this weekend for my best friend's baby shower in Atlanta. Whenever I'm going out of town I always stay up late the night ... What's good in life? There are too many things to name. This morning at Mohr Results Boot Camp the coaches gave us rocks. Doesn't sound like much, but the little stones symbolized a lot. They told us to keep the rocks in our pockets as a reminder of all the things we are grateful for. Sometimes when you are working towards weight loss and physical fitness it'... Monday thru Friday (and sometimes on weekends) every hour of my day is accounted for. Here is the way the schedule goes. 5 a.m. - get up go to Mohr Results Boot Camp At the end of Mohr Results Boot Camp this morning I heard of a truly amazing accomplishment. Monday, Monday, Monday. The weekend seems to go by too fast and I didn't get the things done I had on my list. Oh well. Something I did get done today....Mohr Results Adventure Boot Camp for Women! I so wanted to sleep in this morning, especially since the baby decided he wanted to get up and play at 2 a.m. It seemed like our group was larger than usual today. I think almost everyone has their power back on, kids are back in sch... The first week of boot camp is now in the history books, again. For those of you who don't know this is my second time around at Mohr Results Boot Camp. It starts every morning at 5:30am Monday thru Friday. Good times. And I do mean that. I walked in the house from this morning's session and my brother-in-law (who lives with us) was excited. He thought today w... It's Thursday and it feels like it! I needed a Diet Cherry Pepsi to get me through the afternoon. No calories - but I am sure it wasn't very good for me. Now my high has worn off and I could really crawl under my desk and take a long nap. My husband always asks me why don't I take a nap on my lunch break. The problem is there usually isn't a lunch break for rest. Our deadlines are every couple of hours and the news goes on whether you li... My life is run by numbers. How much money do I have? What time is it? The baby needs to be in bed at 9:30 sharp. At work every day we get emails that say how the rating numbers looked from the night before. Numbers are all around me. There is no escaping them. Today at Mohr Results Boot Camp we weighed in. It's amazing how a little electronic device can mak... We had that nice two week hiatus Mohr Results Boot Camp Remember when you were a kid and you'd wake up in the morning and see a snow covered front lawn? Then you'd rush to the television or turn on the radio to see if indeed you had a snow day? That's kind of how this morning went. I knew there were so many power outages and downed trees that I woke up wondering if I would get one more day of rest and boot camp would be canceled. No such luck. I woke up and called the boot camp hotlin... It's Boot Camp, Baby! And it's back. The pain and the joy of some of the toughest workouts I've done return. Last month, I blogged about my boot camp experience and decided to try it again. In case you missed my last entries, here's the Cliff Notes version. I wanted to lose 20 pounds in four weeks. That didn't happen. It was a big goal but I thought it was possible. I wanted to eat fruits, veggies, lean meats and drink only water. Tha... |
