If you've ever met my mom you'll know why. I successfully hid the tears at Mohr Results Adventure Boot Camp for Women. After months of trying get back into my old clothes and plenty of days spent feeling bad about my body, I can now smile. Today is the day I was supposed to reach my goal of weighing 162... It's true. I really can't stay up late anymore. I was so jazzed for the Carolina basketball game last night. I drank all the Diet Coke I could stomach and made a point to make sure I had a good dinner to try and ensure my alertness. But it didn't work. I don't know if it's Mohr Results Adventure Boot Camp knocking me out or just old age. Does anyone else have a slight narcolepsy problem? Coaches, is this normal? How can I stay awake un... Sometimes it's just better to relax and take a deep breath. That's what we did this morning at boot camp. The cold weather forced us inside to take on yoga. As our boot camp captain likes to say, "This ain't your grandma's yoga." I think I need to incorporate yoga into my fitness routine. I could feel my triceps getting a great workout. One of the best parts about yoga is that there is time to just slow down. At the end the coa... If you read the last blog I may have been a little extreme. I get that way sometimes. I, like so many other people, want to see drastic measures in a short while. It's just not practical. I have now come back to earth and pulled myself together. I am 6 pounds shy of my goal weight. The plan is to keep working hard and do the best I can in a healthy manner. I was supposed to reach my goal by this Friday. There was even talk las... 6 pounds! It all comes down to 6 pounds. As many of you know I am exactly one week away from my target date of losing 10 pounds. Next Friday is W-Day. Weigh-in Day! I don't own a scale and the last time the scale was at boot camp it wasn't working properly. Needless to say it's been a while since I have been on a scale. I didn't know where I stood until I found an old scale in the kitchen of the station. Not quite sure how long it's be... I have a problem. You see I like to eat when I am stressed or feeling a little down in the dumps. It just makes me feel better. Here is the good news - the food I like to eat isn't the most fattening of things. It's not cake that I love so much. I find true comfort in Baked Lays Potato Chips and popcorn. There is nothing nutritious about those two things, but they just make me feel a little happy on a dark day. Things have been a... Poor Brooke. I would never ask anyone to carry me anywhere. But the coaches at Mohr Results Boot Camp this morning asked Brooke to carry me. Yes, physically give me a piggyback ride across the parking lot. I thought I was going to break her back. Poor Brooke. She had to carry all 172 pounds of me. Although I hope it's less than that now. I am a week and a half away... |
