Well, today things were taken up a notch. Just in case working out at 5:30 in the morning 5 days a week wasn't enough, I'm now escalating to the Mohr Results Platinum Boot Camp program. What does this mean? Basically that I'll be filling out food diaries, turning them in weekly, and horror of horrors, having weekly weigh-ins!! Which, by the way, began today. While this was throroughly traumatic, it was entirely necessary. I can work out for days, no problem, but pass a cheeseburger under my nose, and I'm toast. Like last night for example. I made good food choices all day, but after work my schedule was jam-packed, and I didn't have time to make it home for dinner. So... I had a cheeseburger. And it was good. What was not good was being told to get on a scale this morning, having consumed said cheeseburger last night! Like I said, traumatic, but necessary. I'm hitting the grocery store after work to stock up on some healthier fare, so I can avoid the lure of the fatty food next time. Aside from the weigh-in, this morning was fantastic. I could definitely feel which muscles had really been worked over the day before. Today involved some sprinting, squatting, medicine ball throwing, jump roping, shadow boxing, and again - many exercises that I don't know the name of - but that hurt. And of course - planks. I have a love/hate relationship with planks. Hate the way I feel during them, but love the way it makes my arm jiggle go away. I just got our daily e-mail from our coaches, Chris and Kara Mohr (http://www.mohrresultsbootcamp.com), with a preview for the rest of the week's activities. Tomorrow's emphasis - the lower body! To my thighs, I apologize, but you simply have to go. |
