More Polls Coming

May 08, 2007

All of you political-watchers keep asking, so instead of calling me, here's your heads up on future polling in the governor's race by Survey U.S.A./WHAS-TV.

The plan right now is to have another poll released next Tuesday, May 15th, just one week before election day. And at the suggestion of Survey U.S.A., there may be another poll released on Monday, May 21st, the day before the election. That poll is still in the discussion stage.

Assuming Billy Harper stays in the G.O.P. race and no other democrats drop out, here's what we should all be looking for in the next poll:

1) Did Miller's withdrawal have any discernible impact on voting patterns in the democratic primary?
2) Did Steve Henry stop the bleeding and Jody Richards move up at all with the release of their first TV ads?
3) Is it really a two-way race between Beshear and Lunsford?
4) Can Beshear or Lunsford get over 40% and avoid a runoff?
5) Have Northup's attacks on TV and in person cut into Fletcher's support?
6) Can Harper get up to 25% and perhaps force a runoff in the republican primary?

Don't call me, we'll get the results on as soon as we've got them.

The two polls will make sense and should also be beneficial!
