McConnell Good of Bad on Talk Shows???

May 19, 2007

The TV industry rag called Television Week polled the producers of the sunday morning political talk shows, asking them about the Washington guests they get each week.

Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell was mentioned in two categories:

In the category "Most effective spokesperson for the minority on the hill", McConnell was listed as an "also mentioned". Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina was deemed the best by the TV network employees.

In the category "Don't make the news they probably should" Condi Rice was the leading vote getter. Producers described her as "a robot" who keeps repeating her talking points. McConnell was in the "also mentioned" category again. In other words, McConnell talks alot on the shows but doesn't say much that will be quoted by anyone.

Anne Northup, liberal? She's anything but that. She's also not the criminal the current governor is.

Will Mitch McConnell have to answer to the damage he faces to his reelection hopes after his favored Louisville liberal candidate Anne Northup goes down on Tuesday night?
