Govs Straw Poll County Officials

April 17, 2007

The Kentucky County Magistrates and Commissioners meeting over the weekend allowed the conventioneers to vote in the governor's race.

According to Richard Tanner with KMCA, two voting machines were set up, one for folks who identified themselves as republicans, one for demcrats. Only registered participants could vote in the STRAW, UNSCIENTIFIC poll. And there was nobody from Jefferson or Fayette counties at the conference. Tanner says the KMCA doesn't endorse any candidate. Here are the totals:

Dems:
Henry 102
Richards 61
Lunsford 29
Galbraith 24
Beshear 11
Hensley 6
Miller 1

GOP:
Fletcher 113
Northup 20
Harper 5
