Fletcher's Numbers
February 22, 2007
The latest WHAS-TV/Survey USA poll shows Governor Fletcher's job approval rating went up a little bit in February. 36% of those polled approve, 59% disapprove. It's what's inside some of the numbers that's interesting.
The only subgroups who score Fletcher's approval higher than his disapproval are:
Republicans
Hispanics
Other races
Conservatives
People who believe global warming is "made up"
Those who call themselves "moderate" rate Fletcher about the same (27%) as those who consider themselves "liberal" (25%). The best news for Fletcher is that 50% of republicans polled approve of the job he's doing. It's also good news for democrats. It shows Fletcher can win his party's primary.
