Louisville is the better team, but the TEAM did not show up. Padgett only took one shot. Jenkins and Palacios were not factors and this was Jenkins final game. The heart of the team lied within Edgar Sosa. No one else wanted to step up, take a charge, get hit in the face or make a season-saving shot. Ask Greg Gumble, One player can not win a game in the NCAA tournament just ask Duke, Texas, Wisconsin, or Villanova. The cardinals only had 2 players in double figures (Williams & Sosa) what happened to the rest of the team, which combined for 21 points and 5 assists. Yes, we were plagued by foul trouble, yes, we were plagued by inexperience. During the final two minutes, the Louisville cardinals were panic-stricken, the fighting was over and so was the game. Great basketball teams will basketball games in the NCAA tournament. I guess Texas A&M was the great team today because they acted and played like one. Texas A&M only had seven different people score and still won. All the game-winning factors were in Louisville’s favor, we had the deeper bench, Hall of fame coach, and four very talented freshmores. We refused to capitalize on what made us one of the hottest teams in the country.
