Main | Will Fletcher Be Indicted? » Saving on Energy BillNovember 16, 2005What are you doing to save on your energy bill? Are there other ideas you would like to share? Posted by kirby.adams at November 16, 2005 09:56 AM CommentsKirby i really do not see anything helping save on heating bills, they will charge what they want regardless. I don't know what our elderly or people on fixed incomes will do. I don't think they care as long as they get paid. Posted by: karen mullins at January 1, 2006 10:22 PM I would like to know what is being done to regulate the charges that are being applied to residents of Louisville by LG&E. Jumping prices by 60%? Are they also raising salaries by that much to compensate? (I think not!) Posted by: H at January 4, 2006 10:28 PM i heard the reason for the high gas bills is not for the reason of high gas but because lg&e have to move because of the arena. Posted by: kenny at January 11, 2006 11:23 AM I agree with Karen Mullins above. The company has no copetitors. Posted by: Dorothy Smallwood at January 17, 2006 07:11 PM I do the usual things like lower the thermostat, make sure all doors are completely closed reduse drafts under doors etc. I know that the heat will still run and cost money so I try to conserve electricity to make up some of the difference. I didn't realize that my computer used a lot of electricity, so I now turn it off at night. Also phone chargers plugged in drain electricity even when your phone isn't being charged.
