Hey, what happened to all the cool air and rain? We are now about 1 inch behind in terms of rainfall totals for the month. I wouldn't call that extreme, but the area yards are beginning to turn a bit crispy! The highs in the mid 90s aren't helping either. So grab the hoses or face some withering foliage. We are still over 7 inches ahead for the year thanks to a very rainy Spring. Isolated showers make a weak return by the weekend.

Remember back in January and February when it was so cold, for so long. I found myself longing for a nice, hot summer day. This ain't it! I prefer the nice mid 80s with dry air, but hey, you can't always get what you want. Especially with the weather. We are going to get into the hazy and hot summer pattern over the next few days. We aren't seeing and cold fronts on the horizon either. So sit back and relax. Summer is back!

There are an aweful lot of things going on this weekend, so be careful as another cold front moves through late Saturday and early Sunday. The fact that it should be moving through during the overnight is a very good thing. Fronts this time of the can really kick things up quick. I'm really hoping for a quiet weekend, but you can bet all have the weather radio nearby with WHAS11.com up on the computer!

It wasn't the greatest weather down at the Waterfront, but it was much better than the last two years! At least the 90 degree heat was kept at bay. Looks pretty busy over the next few days. A front will be here by Wednesday with some stronger storms possible. We aren't even in the slight risk range, yet, but thunderstorms this time of the year like to get frisky during the max heating of the day. I'll keep you updated!

Hey, it's almost time to pack up the friends and family and head down to the Fifth Third Bank Waterfront Independence Day Festival! The team was out there yesterday and it was great. By the time the fireworks started, the crowd was all the way back to 64. That is always an impressive site! Hope to see you there!

Not a bad weather set up for our Wednesday across the area. Hey, at least we are one day closer to Independence Day! Our weather is still pretty nice even though the heat has been turned up on us. We will see highs near 90 with a slight increase in the humidity levels. We will stay dry with no showers expected. That won't be the case on Thursday or Friday. We are watching for a front to push in starting on Thursday and then stalling over...
