"Oh, honey, aren't those leaves so beautiful, with the reds, oranges, and yellows!?" "Yes, dear." The sounds of a lovely Sunday drive through the Kentuckiana hills in Autumn. It's that time of the year when we patiently wait for the leaves to turn their backs on "going green", and start, "going for the gold." ...anyways, here's a great way to check those leaves changing colors, without having to go for that Sunday drive...
VisitIndiana.com
Here you find 5 leaf cams around Indiana, four of which are from southern Indiana. Late October tends to be the peak of our fall foliage. Enjoy!
Here's more of the story from the Indianapolis (AP) ...
"INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Prospective leaf watchers can check on the status of fall colors in Indianapolis and four southern Indiana tourist destinations by visiting the leaf cam section of the state's tourism Web site.
The five Leaf Cams on VisitIndiana.com show the turning leaves at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis, French Lick Resort, Brown County, the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site and Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell.
The Web site will feature the leaf cams through Nov. 13."
