NASA is planning to crash the LCROSS spacecraft and its Centaur booster rocket one after another into a shadowed crater near the Moon's south pole on Friday, October 9, 7:30 am as it begins its exploration for water on the moon. The double impact will be shown live on NASA TV from the point of view of the LCROSS spacecraft. The U of L's Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium will be showing the event live and free to the public. Doors open at 7am... For more information on this free event Click Here.
