Strong storms pounded Kentuckiana early this morning with heavy rain, gusty winds and continuous lightning. We had a little break until this afternoon/evening... That is when an area of low pressure riding along a nearly stationary front triggered another round of severe weather. Here's a sample of what these storms produced...
Tornado - Pike Co., IN
Tornado - Carpenter Lake, Daviess Co., KY
Tornado - Owensboro, Daviess Co., KY
Gust 89 mph - Owensboro, KY
Damaging Winds, down trees - Horse Cave, Hart Co., KY
1" Hail - Breckinridge & Grayson Co., KY
5" Rain - Hart Co.
2.67" - Louisville
Now for some good news... All watches and warnings for Kentuckiana have been cancelled and the threat for severe weather has ended.
Ken and Jamie Draper found some beauty in these storms this evening... Check out the Double Rainbow in Holy Cross, KY.

Thanks for the picture!
Too bad it could happen yet again this Sunday.
