First let me say hello to everyone... Believe it or not this is my first ever attempt at blogging. I'm told it is fairly painless :) Ok, I have been in Louisville for a little over a month and I love it here! My family will be joing me after the school year (my son's school doesn't get out until the end of June). I can't wait... I'm getting pretty tired of frozen dinners! Seeing how this is a weather blog, I better talk a little about the weather... The strong to severe storms from earlier today have now moved well to our east. Lots of warm air is spreading into the region not only at the surface but into the mid levels of our atmosphere and this should help suppress anymore strong storms from developing this evening. There is however a weak disturbance in the upper atmosphere that may trigger of a few storms and showers overnight, but most of this activity should remain north of the Ohio River. Our next big weather story will be some near record temperatures heading our way Thursday through Sunday. The records... Thursday: 96/1911, Friday: 94/1933, Saturday: 96/1933 and Sunday: 95/1911. Right now I'm looking for highs to be in the low to mid 90s and our best chance for tying a record will be on Friday. Now if that is not bad enough it looks like it will also be pretty muggy as well, giving us a heat index values near 100 Thursday and Friday. Sounds like fun...! Stay cool, and if you have anything you would like me to blog about just let me know. Monty
