Noooo...not summer already!

11:53 AM Wed, Jun 04, 2008 |

Boy, where did our gentle Spring go! Comfortable temps and no severe weather....ahhhhhhh.....if only that would have lasted. We are seeing things calming down, but with the heat topping out near 90 and a frontal boundary across the northern parts of Kentuckiana, spotty severe storms will be possible. Strong winds over 60mph and large hail will be the biggest threat. Watch those skies and stay tuned! After today, the big weather story will be the mid 90s. Could we be looking at another long stretch of above 90 degree days like last summer?

I was watching WHAS11News at exactly 6:18pm today June 5th, and Doug Profitt was doing the weather forecast and over his shoulder on the sky part of the Louisville scene was this giant spider and he crept down towards Doug and then off the right edge of the screen. I guess he was in the lens of the projector putting the skyline in the TV picture. I understand that in reality the wall is total green; but here at home he was in peril for amoment.
It is in the first few frames of the 18th minute of the broadcast.
