A cold front pushed through Kentuckiana today (Monday)... A few storms managed to fire up out ahead of the front earlier this morning and after that our atmosphere did a good job of stabilizing itself. Most of the active weather associated with the front was confined to our south and east. Behind the front a cooler and drier northwesterly flow will develop in the upper atmosphere and that will put us on the cooler side of the jet stream. That means temperatures will be in the upper 70s to low 80s through Friday!!! In my book, that is perfection! There appears to be a weak disturbance that will move through the area on Wednesday. Look for a few more clouds and a slight chance for a stray shower (less than 20%) on Wednesday afternoon. It looks like our best chances for showers and storms will be on Saturday afternoon. Summer officially begins this Friday at 7:59 pm and we are aiming for a high of 84 degrees. Enjoy the cooler temperatures! |
