The news that he's out for the season with a stress fracture in his ankle dramatically changes the chances of an NCAA tournament berth for Billy Gillispie's squad. ...Kelvin Sampson blew it. He's a good coach, given a chance to lead one of college basketball's most storied programs. He's lucky he got to keep the job considering his first brush with the NCAA. But he just couldn't resist dialing up those recruits and trying to gain an unfair advantage. Does he deserve to be fired over this?? ...Rick Pitino was in a good mood Monday, not a surprise after that great showing Saturday night. He was glowing about the crowd at Freedom Hall. He said it was the best atmosphere he's ever coached in. Kentucky fans, what do you think about that? ... |
