Sports: January 2008 ArchivesThis one surprised me. But give Kentucky all kinds of credit for the effort against a very good Vanderbilt team. The 'Dores had beaten UK four straight, but the 'Cats came out with the fire we haven't seen much of recently. Patrick Patterson is a beast. His first SEC game and he puts up 23 points, 12 rebounds. ...Yes, I was wrong. I picked Kentucky to beat Louisville. And it wasn't even close. The Cards beat up the Cats even with Earl Clark suspended for the game. I was misled by UofL's poor showing against Cincinnati. They came together in a big way to perform at Rupp. ...The Original Harlem Globetrotters have beaten up on the Washington Generals long enough. It's time for them to go down and I'm just the person to make it happen. ...Happy New Year!! Now let's get ready to rumble. Neither Kentucky or Louisville go into Saturday's game feeling great about themselves. Neither is ranked and they've both had embarssing losses at home. So who's gonna win this thing?? ...Despite not playing the perfect game the Kentucky Wildcats were good enough to beat Florida State Monday in the Music City Bowl in Nashville. It's a historic win for the Cats who pick up their first back to back bowl titles since 1952. ... |
