The University of Kentucky got a special visit from the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player. That's right, Lebron James spent yesterday afternoon in Lexingon. The Cavaliers star was on his way to a fundraiser in Jackson, Mississipi hosted by his Cavs teammate Mo Williams.

NASCAR driver and Kentucky native Jeremy Mayfield has been absent from competition since May 9th when he was suspended by NASCAR for violating their drug policy. As Kyle metioned Bellarmine's Head Baseball Coach Deron Spink will be pitching to the Phillies Ryan Howard in the 2009 Home Run Derby.
Howard should be a crowd favorite: He won the Home Run Derby back in 2006, he grew up in St. Louis, and he also attended Missouri State University.

Over the next few days the eyes of the baseball world will be on St. Louis, MO, site of Major League Baseball's midsummer night's classic. MLB's All-Star game is Tuesday but for a Louisville area baseball coach his night on the national stage comes Monday. Bellarmine University baseball coach Deron Spink will be lobbing pitches to Phillies slugger Ryan Howard in the Home Run Derby.

Radio station KCSP 610am in Kansas City reports late Tuesday night that highly touted recruit Xavier Henry will stick with his commitment to Kansas and not join the Kentucky Wildcats.
