The Cards are No. 3!

5:24 PM Thu, Oct 30, 2008 |

The ESPN/USA Today Preseason College Basketball Poll was released on Thursday and UofL found themselves near the top at number 3. Only North Carolina and UConn are ahead of the Cards.
What does the ranking mean? Since they haven't played anyone but themselves yet, not alot. Many times the preseason rankings will get fans all pumped up about their team only to leave them disappointed come March.
That will not happen this time.

4:49 PM Wed, Oct 29, 2008 |

The Louisville football team received a devastating blow Monday night when junior wide receiver Scott Long injured his knee in practice. He's out for the season with a torn ACL in his right knee. Here's the full release from UofL:

Hartline Throws Teammates Under The Bus

9:29 PM Tue, Oct 28, 2008 |

I'm a big Mike Hartline fan. I think the UK quarterback is smart and honest. But sometimes honesty can get you in trouble. On Monday Cats head coach Rich Brooks benched Hartline for the Mississippi State game in favor of freshman Randall Cobb. Instead of grinning and bearing it Hartline spoke his mind and now fans and some of the media are crucifying him for it.

Here's what Hartline said. When asked about his benching he replied, "I'm ...

Former UK Player, Current Ref Takes Out Player

10:31 PM Mon, Oct 20, 2008 |

One of the most bizarre things ever on a football field took place during Saturday's LSU-South Carolina game. If you haven't seen it or heard about it I'll do my best to describe what happened.

In the second quarter the Gamecocks had the ball in the red zone looking to score. Quarterback Stephen Garcia scrambles to his right only to collide with umpire Wilbur Hackett Jr. In the video it looks like Hackett Jr. braces for the collision a...

Must Win For The Cards

9:00 PM Thu, Oct 09, 2008 |

Friday's game against Memphis is a must win for the Louisville Cardinals and here are five reasons why.

1. A loss would drop them to 2-3 on the season with back to back losses. Plus they still have the toughest part of their schedule still ahead. While the game is on the road, the Cards can't afford to lose this one.

2. If they want to prove the program has made some progress from year one of Kragthorpe to year two, these are t...

Major League Baseball's Love Affair With Chicago

2:22 PM Wed, Oct 01, 2008 |

Chicago is a great city. It's one of my top 10 cities in the entire world. Every time I go to Chicago I have a blast. The Magnificent Mile is always thriving. Everyone should experience Wrigleyville once. Some of my favorite rappers (Common, Kanye West, Rhymefest) hail from Chicago. With that said I'm getting tired of Major League Baseball's obsession with its two Chicago teams.

Here's what has me upset. Back in September ...
