Despite losing their first two games in the Little League World Series the Jeffersonville/ George Rogers Clark team can still advance out of pool play. The Jeff squad can thanks Mill Creek, WA for beating Hagerstown, MD 15-5 on Monday. That means with a Jeff win Tuesday and a Maryland loss three teams would be tied at 1-2 for second place in Pool A. The tiebreaker is runs allowed divided by number of innings on defense. Jeff is sitting pretty in that department. They've given up a total of 12 runs while Mill Creek has given up 10 and Maryland 17. They're far from out of the woods but at this point the ray of hope just got a little bit brighter for the Jeff/GRC team. |
