April 2008 ArchivesFormer University of Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm suffered through an agonizing five hours on Draft Day Saturday waiting to hear his name called. When the Green Bay Packers were on the clock with the 56th pick Brohm received a phone call. On the other end was his soon-to-be new head coach. Brohm fell farther down the board than alot of people expected. With Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco going in the first 25 picks, you figured Brohm t... Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Terrell Owens will descend on the Ville next week for the Kentucky Derby and several of the star studded parties held around town. Owens' trip to the River City is expected to start Thursday with an appearance at J-Dub's annual Bowl for the Roses charity event at Lucky Strike at 4th Street Live. That's just the tip of the iceberg for the man who put Sharpie on the map. He plans to make it a full weekend in Lou... I posted a previous blog on how Cards fans shouldn't panic about Earl Clark jumping to the NBA. And, if things were still where they were last week, I would stand by my post. But, in light of Thursday's announcement, I feel like I should tie up the loose end I left. I am not a Clark-hater. But based on all the criticism they've been receiving, you would think the two had decided to go commit a crime or something. All you hear is how they are both -- Caracter more so than Clark -- makin... If Terrence Williams would have jumped to the NBA Draft today he would've been just another name added to a list. That list being underclassmen who've declared draft eligible. That's a list that seems to be longer than the list of graduating players who are eligible. But, T-Will didn't jump. Instead, he did what has become a rarity in college basketball. Williams will be coming back to "The Ville" for his senior season. Why not go? His... With Earl Clark's announcement of his intention to jump to the NBA, there have been rumblings about the terrible shape of the Card's front line for next season. The losses of David Padgett, Juan Palacios, and Terrance Farley to graduation and Derek Caracter to, well, whatever it is he's doing, the Cardinal front court was looking depleted. Add Clark's revelation that he's ready to go to the "Next Level", and there isn't alot of size left on th... |
