Thursday morning photographer Wade Harris and I are off to Atlanta to cover the SEC Tournament. Wade is a wily veteran of covering Kentucky in post season play. For me it will be a chance to do what I did for years working as a Sports Reporter and Anchor in Cincinnati. Needless to say, I can't wait to get back on the road again. (THANKS WILLIE)

Don't get me wrong, I love anchoring the morning show with Rachel Platt, but if every week had the excitement of Conference and NCAA Tournament games I'd still be in sports. I covered some great Cincinnati, Kentucky, Xavier and Miami of Ohio teams and I loved every minute of it.

The names Pitino, Prince, Padgett and Smith all bring back great post season memories. I even had some fun interviewing Ashley Judd about 10 times.

As for this Kentucky team, what a gritty, tough minded and determined bunch. I love senior guards come tournament time, and this team has two very good ones.
