Big Plays The Early Story

4:20 PM Mon, Dec 31, 2007 |

At the end of the first quarter the Wildcats and Seminoles are tied at seven. The game could not have started better for the Wildcats. On the Seminoles first possession Roger Williams blocks Graham Cano punt attempt and the Cats recover at the 25 yard line.

They quickly get on the scoreboard on Andre Woodson's 14 yard touchdown pass to tight end Jacob Tamme with 10:39 to go in the first.

But just as quickyl as the cats can taketh, they can give it away. On their second possession Woodson and Rafael Little hook up, but Myron Rolle forces a fumble. Tony Carter recovers and returns it 51 yards into UK territory. Four plays later FSU quarterback Drew Weatherford dives in for a 6 yard score to tie the game at seven.

If Kentucky is going to win this game they can't beat themselves. They have to force the Seminoles to make plays, instead of helping them with turnovers.
