Brian Brohm met with the media today and seems even keeled as always. Brohm says growing up as a Cards fan in Louisville he always hated seeing Louisville lose to UK in any sport.

Brohm says he's never really hung out with UK quarterback Andre Woodson much aside from a photo shoot before this season. He did play against Woodson twice in high school and won both times. He also rememered at least one summer league basketball game, but could remember who won.

Brohm knows he probably hasn't seen much from Kentucky's defense in their first two games. He expects they'll break out some new looks on Saturday.

Brohm made a point of saying what a big game this is, not just because of the rivalry, but because UK is a good team and beating them would help UofL's strength of schedle.

He says he expects the Louisville defense to play better this week and he knows they can do it because he goes up against them in practice every day.

In putting together a story on Brohm I looked back at the video from his previous games against UK. You might remember he came in as a freshman and saw in first game action. Stefan LeFors was the starter, but Bobby Petrino wanted to see what his freshman could do. Brohm was 6-7 for 39 yards. He completed the first pass he ever threw for the Cards. He also got a "welcome to college football" moment when he was blind-sided by linebacker Durrell White. Brohm fumbled, but Louisville won the game 28-zip.
